r********g 发帖数: 2 | 1 Two Postdoctoral Fellow positions are available for highly motivated and
productive applicants in the laboratory of Dr. Subhamoy Dasgupta at the
Department of Cell Stress Biology, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, NY- a
National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated comprehensive cancer center. The
Dasgupta lab will be moving to Roswell Park during the summer of 2017 and
the laboratory will be fully functional by July 2017. The laboratory focuses
on discovering novel metabolic adaptations that promote aggressive
metastatic cancers. State of art facilities such as proteomics, genomics,
and metabolomics along with molecular biology techniques are widely used in
the laboratory to investigate the crosstalk between metabolic signaling and
transcriptional networks that drive cancer progression. Multiple models
systems, including Genetically Engineered Mouse Models (GEMMs), patient-
derived xenograft (PDX), and syngeneic tumor models are used. Projects in
the lab are focused on:
(1) Determine the mechanisms of altered mitochondrial metabolism in the
development of castration resistant prostate cancer;
(2) Investigate the dynamic relationship of metabolic and transcriptional
components in aggressive metastatic breast tumors;
3) Functional screening to identify novel therapeutic targets in hormone-
dependent cancer.
We are seeking candidates with Ph.D. or M.D. degree who have a strong
background in one or more of the following areas (molecular and cellular
biology, biochemistry, cancer biology, immunology, or in vivo mouse models).
The candidate should be capable of working independently and willing to
collaborate, and possesses outstanding written and oral skills.
