It is not about form.. As Vishy said sometime back about her game " she
has to be tactically alert" . That has not happened.. Her tactical prowess
is not anywhere around 2600.. Probably she should had a professional coach (
with due respects to her Dad) long time back who would have worked on this
weakness. Now it may be too late with Hu on the ascent.. she is gonna get
stronger. Middlegame play is the one which determines the better player..

She's had several months to train for this big event in her career and
she's "out of form". She was out of form all the previous time she faced Hou.
Now, I'm convinced that Hou Yifan is a much stronger player than Koneru
Humpy (my last chess crush and never again). She was very unconvincing
without cracking a smile at all this championship... well barely.
Please note that I have a history of jumping on the bandwagon. I was
late to being a Carlsen fan even as he seem to have been the Justin Bieber
of young fans (or is Biever the Carlsen of his genre of music).
Now if you visit my blog, you'll see I have videos dedicated to my fave
player Koneru. I deleted the YouTube ones, now these will come down soon.
Sorry Koneru, you lost a #1 fan. (Whether you care or not).
With Judit Polgar, you get a sense she's always trying to dominate
without losing her feminine aesthetics away from the board(lovely smile,
confidence, fans drooling for a date; well wishful thinking there).

小波对男子高手不落下风， 小侯现在对中国男子棋手还劣势。

估计输给某个女人一次，就能把她的分拉下几十分。。。

是因为太忙了，做妈妈后要忙着照顾孩子，有了小孩之后比赛下的少了很多，而现在对
国象进学校的事情比较有兴趣。”做了妈妈后的小波尔加是如何来平衡最近下棋和生活
呢？她说：“对于女人来说又要照顾小孩又要下去很难，但是没办法这就是生活。”
小波尔加可以说是国际象棋女棋手里的一个神话，是很多女棋手学习的榜样，小波
尔加认为自己是个很有天赋的棋手，在小波尔加眼里，侯逸凡和科内鲁都是很有潜力的
女棋手，她说：“去年夺得棋后桂冠的中国小将侯逸凡非常又潜力，他的年纪很小，相
信她只要更努力应该能达到我的水平，另外，我觉得科内鲁潜能也够，她们都有可能达
到我的水平。”
对于自己取得的所有成绩，小波尔加归功于：“总和男棋手下棋才会这样。” |
