elderly bystander Thursday during a bustling lunch hour in Chicago's popular
downtown theater district.
A police officer also was hit by a shot fired by his own partner, but was
not seriously injured because he was wearing a bulletproof vest, said
Chicago Police Superintendent Jody Weis.
