[1] "STEVENSON HIGH要我说就是个传说，这么大的学校怎么可能搞好， 据说只有最好
的前几个学生才能选择想去的大学， 1000多人， 这个比例和东岸根本就没法比。大学
走向不好， 几个高中毕业生给的奖， 比如说西门子数学奖比起别的高中获奖人数也少
。数学竞赛这几年也不行。这个学校还是白人太多， 虽然白人对孩子教育抓得比较严
， 比起移民还是差一些。
STEVEVSON 给学生分了几级， 没进最好的班的孩子大学走向差， 所以家长有意见，
一直想把这个分级制给取消了， 取消以后就会更差。NEW TRIER高中也是搞分级的"
I agree with it. Actually, many Chinese parents who have kids at those two
schools know it, but they do not want to talk about it online or in the
Chinese community. I believe that many Chinese parents know more about high
schools in Great Chicago after their kids graduate from college, and they do
not want to talk about it either.
BTW, NEW TRIER is "这么大" too. So 大 freshmen moved to anothe place, close
to CCFC.
[2] "我来说说downtown的情况。downtown最好的学区在lincoln park between
fullerton & north and halsted & clark.有个10分的lincoln elementary school，
and lincoln park high school (which is ok, the highlight is its IB program).
不过那个的房子也是又老又旧又贵，而且很多是condo.另外一格小学是在oldtown附近
的8分的ogden,但似乎有每况愈下的趋势"

最好的几乎都是这些gifted programs, 比如 Edison gifted, Decatur classical,
