The identity of the buyer is still unknown, but a 66th-floor penthouse in
the Bloomingdale's Building (as it's commonly known) will soon be the most
expensive Windy City condo sold in 2011.
Citing "people familiar with the transaction," Crain's reports that the 4BD,
3.5BA condo is under contract for more than $9 million. Yowzer.
The seller, a wrestling enthusiast and the chairman of a food company, paid
just $4M for the place in 2006, but he brought in interior architect Marvin
Herman and reportedly spent about $5M renovating the place.
