事，学习成绩也很好，12岁那年被当地一所顶尖的中学录取。可以想象一个贫困家庭出
来的孩子考上当地重点中学的喜悦，然而，这来之不易的喜悦却很快被悲惨和忧伤取代
了。就在同一年，陈超养父母家里的一个有精神疾病的亲戚对这个女孩子下了毒手，而
且用的是对女孩子来说最不能忍受的一种残害手段：泼硫酸。被毁掉的不仅是陈超的容
貌，还有她本来有可能通过自己努力改变的人生。8年过去了，岁月就在治疗中蹉跎了
。8年后的今天，美国Grace Children's Foundation (TGCF)为陈超联系了波士顿的
Shriners 医院，希望能为她提供更好的治疗条件，签证和医院的手续已经齐备（详情
如下），现在向所有居住在波士顿地区有条件为这对母女提供帮助的姐们们求助。估计

Chen Chao was abandoned at birth in 1994 and left on a road. She was found
by a Chinese couple who took her to their home, was adopted by the couple
and
became their daughter. She grew up to be a beautiful young girl, loved by
her
classmates and accepted at a top middle school in her city when she was
twelve
years old.
Soon after her acceptance to the local school, without warning, an adult
schizophrenic cousin poured a vat of acid over her head and she was
decimated.
Perhaps this “found” girl child, one who had just received the academic
recognition that so often eludes the children of poor families, was too much
to
bear for the male cousin. We will never truly know why such a thing happened. |
