demos for those of you interested in .Net new tech but can't make it.
Install SilverLight plug-in and then go to this ULR below. Lots of cool
stuff on SilverLight 2.0. It is no longer Flash-wanna-be, but some
serious Web App platform. I like the last one on page 11 in particular.

Flash is already dead meat, we know that for sure. Now look at the
feature set of SL2: there are WPF-lite controls, 2-way databinding,
threading, LINQ, Generics etc, and it's cross platform. Coding a web
app would be like writing a WinForm app almost. On top of all, you
can run c# code w/ above features inside users' browser. In the past,
it's impossible. HTML/Javascript will never allow you do those things.
If M$ pulls it off, do people still like traditional asp.net apps
that render HTML/Java

好多年了，SL的app也有几个了。我个人是很喜欢。
但是你也太乐观了，flash这么大的user base，custom control，
他自己想死还不那么容易，更何况他不想死。
SL2还有很长的路，现在才是beta，没有几个app。看看C#
多少年了。SL1就不说了，还是javascript，根本不想用。
看到过有个tool可以把c# convert到js，没试过。
比较serious的东西还是不太敢直接上SL2， msft失败的东西
不少。不过NBC/MSFT要用SL2搞北京奥运的video。
