发帖数: 33 | 13 I think there are misunderstandings between USCIS and us on RD and ND. Seems
for USCIS RD and ND are pretty much the same date (or very close). For
example, in my case, my I-485 arrived in TSC on July 2, 2007 (listed as
Received Date – July 2, 2007). However, the Notice Date is Aug 31, 2007.
When I checked case status, it says “On August 30, 2007, we received this I
-485…” So, I think my RD is Aug 30 (close to ND) instead of July 2. I
believe thousands of I-485s arrived in USCIS on July 2, 2007, but ND pretty
much reflects the time they actually received your application. Does RD
mean Received Date or Receipt Notice date? If the latter is correct, RD
pretty much means ND.

However, there is no receipt date (only receive date) on the I-485 receipt
paper. I would suggest everybody use NOTICE date.

have a sense when our own case can be processed.

2) Why RD is selected not PD or other Ds?
The reason is so obvious - for any categories that have enough visa
availibility, USCIS processes petitions based on first come first serve. In
analogue to use PERM filing date as PD, the only criterion employed here is
the date when an application is filed, namely the date when USCIS receives
your application. ND aka Notice Date, which might be something coined by
immigration forums, is not trackable in USCIS system. |

知，才会将案件封存并转入审理中。因此，在刚收到申请时，还不能按照顺序归档（因

i think what you want to say is that based VB, your PD(140,i.e.RD) is current, then they will process based on I485 RD?
question:
my PD is 07/17/07 and I485 RD is 07/31/07, if VB is 07/22/07, my case will NOT be processed?

USCIS惯例的解释，是指的the date when your application is received. 这就解释
了为什么， 盖戳日期才是王道，但也有最痛苦的，就是邮件寄到了，戳子没盖上。

另外，从引用notice date这个名词本身，在我老和YMJ官员的交流中，感觉是种比较山
寨的说法。

The fact is that they DO NOT process cases by any of the Ds. You know that
just by looking at the approved cases. I did not see any order in them. I
think it is pure luck! |
