If didn't have faith in 律师, then DIY. You'll need to spend a few days to
research doc list, fill in forms, etc. But they are not rocket science. Just
need lots of patience. I did it myself (in 2 weeks). There is a web page in
USCIS site tells you how to bind and mail your applications.
Mail it in mid January is kind of risky. What if VB retros next month? It's
unlikely but still possible. | c*******l

发帖数: 753 | 4 for 485, it is very easy. Just search the JHQ for document list. You don't
need a lawyer. The cost to you is the application fee and finger print fee
. A little over $1000.
Also, I don't think your HR's estimate is accurate. It is not H-1 or 140
which may require some company involvement. It won't take lawyer much time
either to file this sooner (especially if you did your homework and prepared
all the forms already). According to you, company will cover application
fee and lawyer fee.
