我2015summer，使用pre－complement OPT full time实习了三个月。同时，我参加了
Google Summer of Code, 当时没有多想这个事。这个program是Google 找一些学生来
参与一些open source的项目，这些项目都是跟google无关的。然后你完成项目之后，
Google会给你5500刀的stipend。Google认为这是stipend，不是salary，跟学生之间也
没有雇佣关系。
谷歌这样说的
Is Google Summer of Code considered a job or any form of employment?
No. This is an activity that the student performs as a student developer for
which he/she is paid a stipend.
最近收到了Google寄来的1099-MISC form，听说F1收到1099-MISC会被认为是非法打工
，会影响绿卡。
我这个情况应该怎么处理呢？我应该怎么报税才能不违反tax law和immigration law?

可能可以作为报销处理 |

主要是我已经在做一份full time intern了，同时做这个，是否合法？
还有这部分怎么报税更好一些

Thanks for your reply.
Sorry, at work now and no Chinese input.
I have pre-complement opt and EAD during June 1 to August 30. Not sure
whether there is any difference between pre-complement opt and post-
complement opt.
And another issue is the google summer of code program start from May, so
technically I have worked illegally before my EAD start date if the google
program is considered to be work.
Can I argue the Google summer of code is not a work or employment?
this is the introduction of this program
"Google Summer of Code is a global program that offers students stipends to
write code for open source projects. We have worked with the open source
community to identify and fund exciting projects for the upcoming summer."
Will all 1099-MISC with box7 nonemployee compensation be considered to be
illegal work by USCIS?
