universities, GC is the last thing a search committee checks.
I guess the reason private companies care about GC, aside from your
eligibility to be employed, is that, when you apply for GC through them,
they will have to release accounting info, which makes them vulnerable to
potential problems (e.g., what if they cook their books). But this is not
