果。。。
看人家打下来，几条浅草痕。再看我下来，给人刨了几个10厘米的坑。而且距离从100
yards降至10 yards。快崩溃了。人说不打1万个球不能上场，还真有道理呀。我这5000
了，还有一半。 |

even i practice on 垫子, i usually mix with some shots on grass 1 yard
ahead of the 垫子.
once hitting too many from grass ahead of 垫子, gotta a buzz from the golf
shop.
i will take notes marking good shot percentage next time going to range,
once above 70%. will test 6000,7000 yarders. have been checking out 7000
yarders in the neighborhood. but waiting for better hitting percentage not
to waste it

i remember my second time on course, because i was late, got no warm up at
all.
the first hole was completely 地滚球 all the way to the hole. ( i guess it
was 9 or more, ie, +4 or +5 out of that hole alone)
就这样开始，到最后我还有一PAR after 18 hole. my buddies joked on course:
your handicap index drop every hole you walk by.
当时也不太懂觉得1PAR很差，因为看PROS都是BIRDIE BIRDIE的

t就是way too forgiving, 除非你特别追求contact的准确，否则那种稍微fat一点的球
你还自我感觉良好呢。而那种shot到了草上，距离至少减半。宁可先half swing练到能
准确地先击球、再触草，然后再管别的。除了short iron以外，大部分shots如果hit t
hin的话，距离上不会有过大的出入，依然playable，也不会look very bad.

hitting turf first. even seems that hit straight, without regular distance,
count it as a bad shot. i thought grass is more forgiving. but grass
provides variabilities of lies, in this case it's more realistic to playing
a course.
when i hit high percentage of bad shots and don't know how to adjust, i quit
... giving the balls to people coming in practice. cite ben hogan,
repeating bad shots is "drudgery"

there are a lot of faults in my swings, which I am ok with since I am new. I
'm working hard to try to fix. Sometimes my instructor asked me to put balls
on tee so that I can work on my swing. I thought currently, hitting from
mat is better for the purpose of correcting my swing.
Then it seems all you guys suggest play on the grass is better. I have no
doubt mat is no grass, the real course is not covered by artificial mat. |

tee. only try grass when u are more comfortable with your swing.
everyone has a different way of learning, and i believe there's no single
right or wrong way. u can take other's opinion as a reference and u only
need to do what fit you the best.
in my case, i practiced very little on the range when i picked up this game,
and spent most of the time playing on the course. in the process i
destroyed a lot of grass and also

associated with golf swing level. but I don't, maybe just me. All I
trying to say in my first post was just my personal preference. I'd rather
be struggling on grass than on mat. : )

作先稳定下来。而且根据你的描述，你去的练球场不像是专门平整过的草地。那临时的
草地可能跟 semi-rough 差不多，那就更难了。
楼主遇到的那种挫折感，我们打球的人基本上都经历过，关键是要耐心。高尔夫球技的
门槛比较高，但它是 acquired skill ，多花时间就有效果。打高尔夫的乐趣是典型的
deferred gratification，只要坚持不懈，过了那道门槛就是别有洞天。 |

them until you are comfortable. As someone mentioned, the grass usually has
more variation and beginners does not have a consistent swing. This
combination does make it hard to develop a consistent swing in the beginning

have a lot frustrations, unless you are very talented. On the other hand,
you do not play golf on a mat, so you need to hit from |

没法想象mat如何打iron。我是永远不会在mat上面打iron了。草皮跟iron是天然的结合。
不同的草皮印记，才告诉自己哪里打的不对。
