Really need some distance out of my driver.
Recently bought a medicus powermeter. What I found is that "Slow Down" did
not seem to work for me. I have to swing and swing hard. The other two
things that seem to help is full should down at back swing (feel the tension
) and long follow through (let the club go).
I can get to 110 mph with my driver; however, I hit better when my swing
speed is in high 90s (97-98ish).
Please share your thoughts. | v*****r 发帖数: 2325 | 2 you need to get 120mph at max, then use 110mph for your swing.
this means you have to become stronger & faster, for example, you can try 20
driver swing (no ball okay, 2club sometimes ) each day, swing as fast as
you can but stand stable, along with some cross train( for instance, roation
jump, can you rotate your body in air more than 360d).
maybe you are already stong&fast enough, then just need to find better
technique.
if you think you already max out your technqiue, then try to become stronger
& faster.
"feel the tension" --- maybe feel the torque is better term, you body is
twisted like rubber/or spring , then undo the twist in down swing.

up high so you can sweep it, instead of hit down.
fw is a totally different animal. Personally, I feel it does more damage

feel sore after the exercise. Also watch your wrist lag in swing, and don’
t lose the wrist lag too early in downswing.

他是那种精壮的家伙. 据说他可以BENCH PRESS 230LBS WITH bw = 165。当然主要
还是他的FULL SWING 技术出众, 过人的JOINT MOBILITY. 48INCH DRIVER, 还那么长
的BACK SWING, 那么快的TEMPO, HIT SOLID 多难啊。 不知道他会不会 PLAY PGA
TOUR。

那个录像里边有一句话我特别赞同,就是不论挥杆速度快慢,最关键是要击中杆头的正
中心。我自己的体会是击中中心与否大概有二三十码的距离区别。我觉得业余球手需要
练习的更主要是要能重复性的击中中心。

tweaked my swing up to 110. I see some good results. But unfortunately,
that also end up more banana balls. Consistency is lost.
My driver is regular shaft. Could it be the shaft? Or just rushed bad
swing? Anyhow, I learned that club head speed not necessarily translates to

I am in the stage of getting back my driver swing. All screwed up after I
started this swing speed thing. My 3W has got to 230 - 240 y and I have been
playing rounds without driver for sometime.

no 1 risk of golfing is lower back injury/pain
back pain sucks, because it takes long time to recover from spine disc wear
and tear. also too much nerve inside and near the spine to be messed.
spine pain is different from muscle/tendon pain, golfer may feel fine in the
next 3-5 years, but eventually the wear and tear will show for may golfers,
probably in 40's and 50's.
stats: Golfers 29–63% had back pain at some lifetime point
the direct reason low back (lumbar spine) take the stress is rotation and
unproper flexion of spine (out of neutral position of spine). lumbar has no
bio-mechanics to rotate, unproper lexion of spine create uneven compression
of discs (lean back too much during finish).
