Before I lost my job, I had got my EAD card through my wife's green card
application. I wonder whether I need to apply for H-4 status through my wife
now or just use EAD card (2 years valid time) as a legal status.

If you do not have H4, then after H4 expires you will authomatically enter
AOS status based on I485 application, no need to apply for EBD to keep a
lega status.EAD is only needed when you are in a hurry to work. |
