company legal, but didn't get to the point of official evaluation. based on
initial conversation, I have impression our company sets a really high bar
for helping with EB1b, they require top 3% in the field (or by nature I am
just under qualified)....Can somebody help me take a look at my case, and
advise if I even have a chance?
1. phd in bio/chem area, program ranking top10 in
biomedicalresearch
2. nearly two years industry postdoc experience at Pfizer
3. a regular position at Genentech for almost a year
4. 5 first author publication and one first author book chapter, no 2nd
author publications
5. citation together ~40-50
no review and other rewards....
do I even stand a chance for Eb1b?

paper which would increase citations substantially
I don't know, the good ones may be 100 citations, I am just 50. Can I
somehow claim what I have been doing in Phd and postdoc are fairly advanced
and just start blooming?

what else I can do to polish it to a stronger case to push it for 1B?
1. start reviewing?
2. become an editorial member for some low impact journal?
3. start gathering strong recommendation letters?
4. make a strong argument that I have been working on a groundbreaking field
for the pharma industry?

file, their evaluation are based on the best successful rate. I can't just
say I want to go for Eb1b. Would the big name of Genentech help? Let's put
Pfizer aside...:)
Anyway, I am seeking help here to see what's my chance for 1b and how would
I improve it if any, given half a year time.

我上次看到一个NSC去年某季度的统计, 大概是10%-15% denial & 30% RFE
TSC容易很多, 大概5% denail & 20% RFE

I guess what I am seeking here is a rough idea regarding if it is plausible
so I will start building up a stronger case for EB1b or don't even have to
bother because it is way off the consensus bar.

average among all the Eb1b applicants...
I guess I am probably like bare minimal, below average for now :(

We prob have the same standard, just based on the initial conversation with
HR, they keep emphasizing it really depends on the job requirement (not what
you qualify) and then if you qualify, and I've no idea how they come up
with the number you need to be top 3% in your field.
How many years you have prior to apply for EB1b? Can you let me know which
company you are in?

the letterhead...
I don't think I stand a chance based on publication and citation, the only
niche I could try is probably to convince HR and IO that what I am working
on is "the most practical future of pharma", see if they can buy that...
