ABSTRACT: Nanomaterials show great application potential in many fiels due
to their enhanced intrinsic properties compared to other materials. Herein,
the influence of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and graphene
nanoplatelets (GnPs) in epoxy resin were investigated to compare their
physical and mechanical properties. The result shows that GnPs /epoxy resin
composite have better tensile and compressive strength compare to MWCNTs/
epoxy resin composites whereas izod impact energy, charpy impact energy and
dynamic fracture toughness of MWCNTs/epoxy resin composites resulted better
impact resistance than the GnPs/epoxy resin composites.
