don't ever try to timing the market
it's about the worst thing you can do for your 401K

发帖数: 3473 | 5 all the major averages are up for the year, if your 401k is down it means
either
1) you were trading and your timing is not good or
2) your company's stock dropped for the year
If it is 1, then you should either A) stop trading , invest a certain
amount at a certain time or invest in a fund with a target date
or B) brush up your trading skills
if it is 2, then you should ask this question "is my company going
bankrupt and/or I will lost my job soon " if the answer is yes then you
should sell all your company's stock, if the answer is no then you should
hold or buy more of your company's stock |

发帖数: 36 | 7 退休计划是个长期的计划，所以你可以分两方面做。
一方面是分摊风险，就是不要把鸡蛋都放在一个篮子里，谁也不能保证
目前不错的明年就一定好，股市总是有升降的
另一方面是用dollar cost average, 也就是固定的钱数在固定时间投入，这样
能相对来说减轻风险，因为股市跌的时侯同样的钱买的股数多，你可以简单
设个曲线，然后用固定投入， 看最后能得到多少股，比较一下你就发现这样的好处。
