个问题,所以分红最高?PFE几年前也是一路跌下来,现在还没恢复。 | d*****r 发帖数: 273 | 2 I have ABT and JNJ since 2009. I plan to hold them, unless the dividend is
cut or frozen.
Dividend increase (2010,2011,2012)
ABT: 10%, 9%, 6.3%
JNJ: 11%, 5,6%, 7% | q****x 发帖数: 7404 | 3 since their div% are low in peers, i guess they are safer.

and the history of the company increasing their dividends.

will it translate into dividend yield and stock price? | d*****r 发帖数: 273 | 8 Check the link below out. It may be one point of view, however, at least it
provides some good prospectives. I plan to hold both companies unless they
cut or freeze their dividends.

| d*****r 发帖数: 273 | 9 Here are some of the factors that I consider when choosing a dividend stock.
My end goal is to have enough income from dividend to support my family
when I retire.
Dividend Yield: a minimum dividend yield must be met before I start my
investigation. If the dividend yield is too low, it will take too long to
reach dividend yield that can generate enough income.
Dividend growth history: as there is no guarantee that a company will
continue to pay out dividend, let alone dividend increase. However, a long
history of dividend growth is a good indicator that the company is committed
to dividend growth. Also dividend growth is a good sign on whether the
stock should be out of my portfolio, if the dividend is flat or cut.
Reasonable stock price: This is related to dividend yield. A good
company can be a bad investment if it is overpriced based on its
fundamentals. A lot of good dividend stock candidates now days were highly
over priced a decade ago. So choosing a good entry price point is a critical
point in selecting a good dividend stock.
Dividend source: where does the company get its money to pay dividend?
Is the company's earnings enough to cover at least 2 times that of the
dividend? Many accounting tricks can make the earning looking better;
however, these tricks can not last forever when dividend is paid out every
quarter.
Company competitive advantage and market needs: the company should have
competitive advantages over its competitors and its products and services
should be in great needs in the foreseeable future. |
