Roth IRA. 你就不能有pretax traditional IRA.否则转的时候有麻烦。
我的理解是：
如果 previous employer 401k don't have good investment selection. By roll
over it to pretax traditional IRA, you get better investment option, if you
can earn more than 5k a year by doing that, there is no need to keep you
money in old employer plan just to keep backdoor option open.
不知我有么有什么没考虑到。
另外，对于after tax IRA, 是不是IRS 有记录， 你的本金是after tax 的？ 否则取
得时候， 本息一起收税， 不就double tax 了。 | f*******n

你自己记录。如果你不deduct你的Traditional IRA contribution，你要填form 8606
part 1报nondeductible Traditional IRA contribution
