The main contribution of this position is to manage product reliability
design and test activities to assure that reliability and lifetime
requirements are managed and realised in Product Development projects from
idea phase to market introduction till end of product life cycle.
Responsibility:
• As a member in produce design team, reliability engineer is to
make sure that reliability is designed into the product and qualified.
- Responsible for the reliability requirements definition, management and
realization.
- Translate the needs from customer and marketing into the reliability
requirement and design guideline, and setup the qualification plan to
evaluate the product design with reliability tools
- Report the reliability test result and failure, conduct risk
assessment for the failure and impact of product lifetime and reliability
- Collect and analysis data from field return and life test to improve
the reliability in product design
- Building up and maintaining a complete set of Failure Analysis, using
both internally as well as externally available resource.
- Implement the design for reliability in projects development.
• Maintain a network of Philips Lighting competence center contact
persons in the field of LED Lighting, i.e. the reliability council in Europe
and the USA.
• Support quality team to handle complaint and solve problems found
in mass production.
• Build up own experience about LED lamp reliability to make a
reliability design rule for components and system.
• Keeps abreast of technical developments in own field through
study of the literature and technical contacts.
• Define good and reasonable reliability tests for each new product
& keep updated about new reliability method
Requirements:
• Master Degree in the area of physics, electronics and material
• 3 years of experience in design for quality and reliability, e.g.
derating, HALT and international reliability standards, e.g. MIL/IEC
standards Experience with lighting and LEDs is a preferred.
• Be familiar with reliability analysis tools, e.g. Reliasoft
Weibull++ and ALTA
• Good at statistical analysis and reliability modeling
• Be familiar with electronic components and SMT process and
qualification
• Be familiar with optical, electrical, and thermo-mechanical
design requirement and realization
• Good command of the English language in both speaking and writing
is a must.
• Good communication skill and team player
• Be good at problem solving and independent thinking
• Fast learn and willing to share
