Description
Prime Brokerage & Equity Finance Technology team is looking for two Java
Developers. This role involves working with PB business teams and other IB
technology professionals. Candidate will design and develop client facing
solutions that have a high-level of integration with data providers: trades,
activity and position repositories. Technology solutions will include user
interface, messaging, business logic, and data sourcing. Candidate will
participate in technical design, functional requirements within business
groups. The appropriate individual should be accustomed to developing
creative solutions, providing high quality software, and have a team-player
mentality. Candidate must be proactive, self-motivated and experienced in
system design and data analysis.
Responsibilities
Participate in full life cycle of software development - from gathering
requirements to implementation and support
Work with a team of business analysts, project managers, and other
developers on PB systems
Design and develop solutions for new and existing systems
Unit test developed code and support users during UAT
Qualifications
· Solid skills in core Java. Candidates with strong C++ or C#
experience are also acceptable.
· Coordinate with other application groups on technical
architecture & design to ensure end to end solutions and complete Business
solutions.
· Translate end user requirements documents into technical
requirements, design, and test plans.
· Work with QA and user groups during SIT and UAT.
· Design, implement and administer software build
· Highly organized; Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to communicate appropriately to both business and technology
Excellent oral and written communication Skills
Desired Skills:
· Java, J2EE, Hibernate, Spring, Unix Scripting, MQ Integration,
Oracle.
· Able to meet deadlines under high-pressure environments and
having dealt with diversity of professionals, clients and team members.
· Adheres to SDLC standards and maintains high quality project
documentation and program status for senior management reporting
· Individual must be able deal with ambiguity and set direction
based on agreed business and technology objectives
