full time position of Materials Science Engineer to support research &
development programs in fuel cell and battery technologies.
Job Description
- Investigate electrode and bipolar plate corrosion and reaction
mechanisms.
- Determine the causes of electrode and bipolar material failure and
develop mitigations to prevent failure.
- Develop measurement capabilities to facilitate rapid progress in
materials development and optimization.
- Collaborate with the team partners and clients on the technology
development and demonstration to achieve the technical requirements and
product cost target.
- Contribute to building the company’s intellectual property portfolio
of patents and trade secrets.
- Establish discipline in the rigor of experimental planning, execution,
interpretation, and reporting of results.
- Conduct experiments under limited supervision
Requirements:
- A Ph.D. in chemistry, electrochemistry, materials and chemical
engineering.
- Demonstrated skills in setting up experimental apparatus.
- Demonstrated skills in research that include inorganic chemical,
electrochemical reactions and analysis.
- Prior experiences with fuel cells and batteries or related devices are
preferred.
- Proactive and driven innovator with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal, and
cross cultural),
- Self-motivated, possesses strong team work orientation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude to design, assemble and trouble-shoot
experiment apparatus and testing systems.
- Be able to work in multi-task situations and be flexible to the fast-
paced, technical start-up company environment.
