Job Description:
We are currently looking for a passionate and energetic Senior Software
Engineer to design, implement, test and deploy complex, efficient and
cutting-edge interactive TV applications on set top box and smart TV
platforms. This position reports to Director of Engineering.
Responsibilities:
· Build next-generation interactive TV applications with a focus on
the client side on multiple platforms
· Use different programming languages depending on projects
· Produce clean, high quality, scalable and standard compliant code
by applying Best Practice
· Work with creative, backend and architect teams to convert
business logic, UX and design requirements to function requirements and
software solution
· Setup development environment and lab
· Document software design, code, configuration and user guide
· Support QA, deployment and demonstration
Desired Skills & Experience:
· At least 4 years’ professional experience building rich client-
side JavaScript / JQuery / AJAX application
· Solid understanding of Object-oriented and MVC principles (please
provide code example)
· Experience with consuming web services in XML and JSON formats
· Strong understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
· Desire to learn new technology and programming languages
· Experience with web analytics software, e.g. omniture
· Experience with unit, integration and regression testing
· Detail oriented and excellent trouble shooting skills
· Experience with both Agile and waterfall software development
processes
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Work collaboratively and contributively as part of a team
· Quick learner with can-do altitude
· Occasional travel for on-site troubleshooting and certification
· BS in Computer Science, Engineering or Math
Nice to Have:
· PHP, LUA, C#, .NET, or Microsoft IIS Server
· Experience with e-commerce software development
· Experience with Interactive TV platform
· Knowledge of UI Frameworks such as XUL and XAML
