Job Description:
R2R (run to run) mission is specifically support fab process areas by
providing and maintaining accurate and reliable R2R controllers. These
controllers are implemented on critical process steps with systematic
variation that is controllable and proves to have a return on investment for
the fab. R2R Engineer gain exposure and knowledge of many semiconductor
process areas in the fab as they assist them with their advanced process
control needs. As node sizes continue to shrink, the work R2R Engineer do
directly affects the bottom line of the entire company by providing
automatic process control (APC or R2R) and enhanced process capability. They
meet regularly with process areas and product integration to understand
their tools, processes, and challenges and work with them to create process
control models, strategies, and other methods for ensuring product quality.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Partnering with process areas to understanding tools, processes, and
challenges
2. Provide robust control solutions to all process areas in the fab
according to their needs
3. Continually support and maintain existing control solutions to ensure
they are in good working order
4. Support process conversions and changes through the GCP processes
5. Partner with process areas to develop models for controlled processes
6. Partner with process areas to improve control on critical charts that
are not meeting required standards
7. Transfer R2R control from or to other fabs with technology transfers
Qualifications:
1. Demonstrated F68 culture, integrity, teamwork, winning and risk taking.
2. Advanced understanding of SPC, process control charts, and statistical
methods.
3. Demonstrate effectiveness in verbal and written communication
4. Strong knowledge of DOE, data analysis, and analysis of variance (
ANOVA)
5. Strong understanding of control theory, control loops, control systems
, feedback, and feed forward control
6. Strong knowledge of semiconductor fab process, tools (including
metrology tools) and operation.
7. Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills and experience with
analytical problem solving methodologies.
8. Demonstrated self-motivation and good work ethic.
9. Proven ability to understand technical subjects and instruct/present
effectively.
10. Strong understanding of fab data flow and tool/host communication
standards, such as SECS/GEM and EDA.
11. Strong understanding of fab software applications
12. AMAT E3 system experience is a plus.
13. APC or R2R experience is a plus.
Education and Experience: MS in engineering, computer science or equivalent
education. Engineering level experience and knowledge of semiconductor
processes and equipment is preferred. Knowledge of programming languages or
scripting is also preferred.
