发帖数: 56 | 1 Los Altos Chinese School (LACS) Children’s Center is a newly founded
preschool in Los Altos area. (LACS) Children’s Center offers bilingual
preschool programs for children 3 to 5 years.
We are currently seeking a warm and energetic preschool teacher to teach
part time (30 hours a week), potentially full time in the future.
Primary response include:
• Teach and supervise children group 4-5 years old.
• Prepare children for kindergarten by introducing concepts they
will explore further in kindergarten and elementary school.
• Plan and implementing curriculum that targets different areas of
child development, such as language, along with motor and social skills.
• Organize activities so children can learn about the world,
explore interests, and develop talents.
• Watch for signs of emotional or developmental problems in
children and bring any problems to the attention of parents.
• Keep records of the students’ progress, routines, and interests,
and keep parents informed about their child’s development.
Minimum Requirements
• 12 ECE units; or 6 ECE units and continuous education in Early
Child Education
• Must pass background check, with fingerprints;
• Experience working with young children is a plus
• Preferred-Speaks English fluently
• Be able to pass a physical exam and TB screening
• Familiarity with emergent practices, play-based, child-centered
environments, shared learning, scaffolding, and the Reggio Emilia approach.
• At least 6 months of on-the-job training and/or work experience
in a licensed child care center or comparable group child care program.
Compensation: Competitive compensation packages including health insurance,
paid time off benefits and a student tuition discount for children. Salaries
are based on education and experience. Teachers are also paid for set-up,
clean-up, meetings and planning time for each session worked.
