Responsibilities:
Collaborate with architect, HW and SW teams to develop large scale storage
and database system solutions.
Research cutting edge storage/database algorithms on both HW and SW systems.
Integrate company’s subsystem into large scale big data and database
applications in production environment.
Communicate with clients to understand customer applications and provide
technical proposals base upon company’s products/IPs. Provide feedback and
insight suggestion to architect team.
Prepare documents of architect specifications, reference design,
installation instructions, and other system-related information.
Design and deploy benchmarks on big storage and database systems. Analyze
and improve the efficiency, scalability, and stability with various system
resources.
Define and develop necessary platforms, software utilities, and processes.
Qualifications:
MS Degree, majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical
Engineering or related working experiences.
Strong software design background with 5+ years’ experiences.
Software development experiences with broad knowledge of C/C++, Java, and
Python.
Rich knowledge of database implementations, e.g. MySQL/Microsoft SQL/Other
ETLs.
Willing to learn and develop applications on complicated distributed
computer platform, such as Apache Hadoop and Spark.
Hands-on experience on file system, storage device, database or networking
is a big plus.
Eager to learn and apply new technologies quickly.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
