any help from you in a possible lawsuit because this case is very
special:
a few days ago, I found ALL my files in a SHARED computer were
completely deleted by someone without my permission or even notifying
me. these files included my 2-year experimental data, several paper
drafts, downloaded jounal papers, my family photos, the examples and
documents for green card application , other applied softwares,etc.
which are exet | h**b

the files are still there even they were deleted. Recover it!

发帖数: 2094 | 3 My answer here is not about laws, but it might help. Just like herb said, you
can recover them from you computer - they are probably not lost.
I know in some litigation consulting company, there is a service called e-
discovery or computer forensics. They definitely can recover deleted documents
. Of course,you have to pay them. That cost could be measured damages - if you
can win the case, the defendant will have pay for the service for you.
