顺便问一下,Patent Lawyer的压力比华尔街如何?假如想有经验后海龟,这个Patent

1。 是不是LawSchool出来以后, 结合以前的TechSpecialist的经验就能直接做到
Associate?
2。 如果Associate做不到Partner 是不是就只能去干"in-house", 而这个工资是比不
上Associate的?
我感觉你说的是“放弃一切去读LawSchool”的途径。。。

definitely pays more than a bench scientist.
If you plan to stay here, worst case (paywise) is in-house which probably
pays equal to, if not more than, a group leader. I don't think you would
have much to lose in this pursuit, as long as you are willing to put in a
few years of hard work. |

Tech Specialist experience is not even necessary. The only thing matters is
to graduate from a decent law school with good enough grades.
Not necessary. A lot of in-house are paid more than 160K, which is the pay
grade for first year associate nowadays. Of course in-houses are paid less
than the law firm associates of the same tenure, but with much better work
life balance.

goal.
For example, if you start with a top firm and you do want to switch to other
legal areas rather than IP law. There is no very strong reasons to justify
a full law school. If you want to keep your original position at the firm,
your only choices are local schools, there usually not too many schools just
from walking distance to your home and office. If you decide to quit and go
to a good school, but keeping working

you should go to a T14 school. Yes it's possible to land a same job going to

decreases as soon as you go out of T14. The debate on the virtues of
attending a T14 are lively and never-ending. I will not go any further on

Also keep in mind most T14 schools don't offer a part-time program.
