交到的我自己的保险公司（geico），geico已经指定了一名辩护律师。律师已着手准备
应诉了，今天收到我的geico律师的一封信说：The plaintiff was required to serve
the complaint upon you in one of serveral different ways. There is a
question of whether this was done properly. If you want, we can challenge
the plaintiff on the manner in which you were served. Unfortunately, this
will require you to come to Court. Even if we win, the plaintiff can start
the lawsuit all over and re-serve you. The plaintiff has three y | A**t
发帖数: 458 | 2 应该是说原告需要在规定时间内，以合乎相关规定的方式，通知你你被起诉了。通常是
交给你一份complaint和summons.这个手续叫service.
如果原告没有按规矩来，你可以以此为理由，要求法院dismiss这个案子。
但是按照你律师的说法，被dismiss后原告可以从头再来。
个人觉得，律师就是告诉你有这么个选择，免得事后被说没有尽到责任。
