r***e 发帖数: 2000 | 1 I have a question when setting up a new laptop.
I plan to divide the hard drive into 3 partitions.
One to install Windows 7 Enterprise, the other Fedora 14;
while using the third one for file/data sharing.
I understand you can read NTFS from Linux, and read EXT4
from Windows, by some utility, however, they are not
stable and could corrupt the file system by accident.
That's why I do not want to read/write from one OS
to a foreign file system directly.
I hope I express myself clearly so far.
The question now is:
should I format this third partition with NTFS or EXT4?
I mean, which method is more error-prone?
Accessing ext4 from Windows or accessing NTFS from Linux?
Thank you. | wy 发帖数: 14511 | 2 NTFS-3G works for me pretty good so far
