发帖数: 29 | 1 最近一直在看房子，好不容易抢到一个（我们这里好点的房子都要用抢的），房子位置
装修什么的都比较满意。escrow也开了，inspection也做了，现在只剩3天contingency
就要被remove了。今天打算最后去看一次，看看邻居是什么样的人。大部分邻居都很
nice，可是紧挨着我们准备买的那个房子（immediate neighbor）是个黑人，我们都没
料到会是黑人（因为那个城市黑人只有不到2%）。我不是discriminate，如果只是黑人
也没什么，可是那个大妈看起来很mean，讲话都感觉是夹枪带棒的。还养了巨大的一条
沙皮狗，一直说
：“my dog is not a toy, but the kids next door always think he is a toy" 再
隔壁那家很可爱的几个娃，被人家那么说 据另一个邻居说，这位黑人大妈很爱报警，
10点钟只要还有一点点噪音，5分钟后警察一定来了。还有他们家空调compressor很吵
，就是挨着分隔墙的，离我们家大概就2米。今天在院子里呆着的时候听到it一会on，
一会off，很annoying。

the kids next door always think he is a toy".
Obviously she doesn't want any responsibility of your kids getting
hurt by her dog.
Air conditioning noise might not be a big issue since if it's on,
usually yours is on also and your windows will be closed.
If she calls the cops when the neighbourhood is noisy after 10,
that means you will have a nice quiet neighbourhood, doesn't it?
She might be blunt, but that is better than |

and all kids are audlts and left the house. the most unbearable part is
mostly the noise but I'm not sure how much it would affect us. how often and
how long do you guys stay in the back yard? |

him lived there for over 30 years and move out to home state for retirement.
the lady actually works night shift so we might not see her at all during
weekdays

in a market where decent houses got sold quickly, there is usually a problem
with the house didn't get sold. ask more questions before thinking you just
got lucky. you maybe able to tolerate a neighbour who likes to call cop for
whatever reason and fit in just fine. for a lot of ppl, that is quite a
turn off.

Most cities and counties have ordinances that control the times, types and
loudness of noise. If your neighbour's air-conditioning
unit is violating the ordinances, you can ask them to fix it
(put in a new unit, put up dampening shielding, etc.). |

seller agent. He might be exaggerating a bit but not very likely
bullshiting according to our 4-month house-hunting experience. actually
during the 2 hrs of inspections, there are couple ppls tried to look the
house and we have to take the sign down to stop people coming in...
