We recently offered a foreclosure house with mold problem in the basement (
Mold can be seen around the drywall on the backyard side). The house is sold
as it. We have no clue how much it will cost to treat the mold. Since we do
like the subdivision a lot, we are so struggled if we should just walk away
because of mold. Any suggestion will be highly appreciated. Thanks! | s*****a

’d rather buy it after the problem is fixed. That really creates a lot of
business opportunities for handymen. They put in some easy fixes and simply
hide the problem, and then sell it as a “good” house.
The mold problem is not fixed by killing the mold. Actually, in most cases,
the root cause is the bad air flow in the house, which is much harder to fix
. That’s why I would not buy a moldy house as my own residence. But | q******n

我们现在买的这个在同一小区，价格差了一万三四，一模一样的房子，昨天我的ANGENT
还说要是买了银行这个拍卖房，治理MOLD可能也花不了一万，可是我们还是没后悔要那

发帖数: 48 | 6 We are buying the house to live not for investment. Bank just signed back
our contract after accepting our offer 11 days ago. It is really a hard
decision. We did get a good price for this house, at least $50k lower than a
conventional house in the same subdivision. But the house does need a lot
of work besides the mold issue. The roof needs to be repaired or replaced,
there are water stain in the garage wall as well, carpet needs to be
replaced, wall needs to be repainted. We haven't done inspe

发帖数: 48 | 7 请问你所指的专业公司不是Inspection Company吧.按合同规定, 我们有7天Inspection
Contingency.我现在正忧郁该先请制Mold的公司来检查房子还是先做Inspection.实在
是已经花了太多钱在上面了.
