Now the 45 days has passed, but the loan broker said they can extend the
original rate for a couple weeks. But I know the rate is propably 0.125%
lower now than what I locked in Aug. Can I force them to re-lock because the
original period has already passed?

如果是 refi， 什么时候close 无所谓，所以可以强硬要求锁现在的利率。
或者买房 close date 可以在一个月以上，都可以要求现在的利率。 |

rate is the same. You have no proof that the bank / lender you are working
with can offer the rate you expected.
You can also switch to another lender. But are you ready to wait another 45
days? |
