. there's all sorts of flooring--wood, stone, tile, etc. Bought some
engineer wood floor from Americana--Chinese owned. =)
best to get the "distressed" type--dents, scratches, etc won't be easily
noticed.
For tiles, i recommend Home Depot & Lowe's. selection may be limited but
you can always return and/or exchange for unused tiles. you'll always have
left overs.
Been to Carpet King--not impressive at all. wouldn't recommend.
for painting, i used a Korean contractor. very good. price is slightly
higher but did a very professional job.
