for health reason. We suspect there are more vinyl tiles under floor in
other areas of this house.
The credit given is not enough to install hardwood floor for all these 1500
sqft area. When we remove the carpet and install hardwood floor above these
tiles, we could disturb the asbestos and make it airborne. We are also not
sure whether hardwood floor is a good solution to encapsulate the asbestos.
To remove these tiles, it is very very costly.
The basement used to have these tiles as well. Due to water damage, these
tiles were removed but the black glue is still there, which may contain
asbestos.
Is it common to have these asbestos vinyl tiles in living area in the older
houses? |

done but more inspections are needed.
There are not many houses in our price range in this area.After considering
some factors we do not like, we are normally only interested in several
houses, which other buyers are interested in as well. So, it is so tough to
buy a house.
For this house, if we knew the asbestos vinyl tiles in the living area
before we made the offer, we would not make any offer. |
