Project Engineer Responsibilities
· Studying and analyzing the order and consulting on the order with
the client, Project Manager / Project Engineer, internal departments and
suppliers
· Providing leadership on a project basis to approximately 7 – 10
project team employees (such as Project Designers, Assistant Project
Engineers or Project Controls Engineer) or externally hired engineers /
firms
· Providing training to the customer’s personnel
· Coordinating, supervising and following up on work by the
employees directed by him / her, and suppliers in the case of contracted out
work
· Acquisition of approval from approval bodies and clients
· Resolving technical problems during the entire project
· Assessment of quotations, calculations, timing, progress and
deliverables of suppliers on the basis of professional aspects, and
recording the arrangements made
· Ascertaining, recording and technical processing of contract
variations
· Ensuring that correct and complete records are kept with regard
to the project in accordance with the agreed internal guidelines
· Responsibility for the technical process; including risk analyses
, FMEA & availability calculations / cycle time
· Performing the work in accordance with set statutory and customer
requirements
· Drawing up competitive hour calculations
· The design of automotive and other systems in project form in
accordance with set requirements and specifications sales transfer to
acceptance by / transfer to the customer
· Technical project management of a project (technical project
management for all professional fields)
· Drawing up, distributing and following up on internal / external
reports
· Monitoring the content of the project (what has been sold in
accordance with which specifications)
· Drawing up, distributing and monitoring the schedules and reports
· Ascertaining & administration for contract variations
Project Engineer Requirements
· Mechanical engineering: MTS (secondary technical school)
Mechanical engineering or comparable course
· Minimum of 3-5 years of operational experience after the end of
the course
· Constructive and analytical insight, is able to set priorities,
is able to delegate work
· Can negotiate with the customer, is able to take responsibility
Willingness to travel and to work on location for longer periods in the
Netherlands and abroad to carry out work at suppliers’ and customers’
locations
· Thinks, acts, evaluates
· Good communication and organizational skills
· Can make clear reports
· Presentable, proactive, initiative taker and independent
· Exudes seniority and determination
· Cost and quality awareness, strives to achieve common project
