If you can envision some conditions to enhance the self juxtaposition
probability, it should be very useful to direct how to synthesize this type of
polymers, which would be very nice - remember de Gennes' Olympic ring gel
idea? Also, there seem many circular protein/peptide in nature, presumably the
loop formation is done by enzymes (from a recent issue of C&EN). Are you still
working on DNA physics?

我最近发展了一点理论上的新方法对polymer loop probability作精确计算. 本意是
计算DNA loop probability, 因为我的实验项目里有DNA looping protein方面的东西.
既然我能作这样的精确计算, 就打算考察一下polymer physics里面loop formation
有没有什么理论方面的意义, 说不定能用上我的model.

hoho, the threading problem was kind of hot. You may use your theory to make
molecular motor:)
Just curious, how do you add those specific quantum level interaction between
biopolymers into your model?(I assume it's a statistic mechanics model)

I think you can apply your theory to ring polymer.
Rubinstein did some work and reported on PRL.
still don't quite understand what's the meaning of "loop probability".
