发帖数: 68 | 3 My brother graduated in 1996. he scored high 80's in step 1 and step 2. He
has a Master degree in statistics from US. He has at least 10 publications (
only few first author). Some of them in JAMA. He did six months of
outpatient observership (once a week) and a couple of month of inpatient
observership (twice a week).He has ecxellent recommendations (two from MDs).
Just like what Doctorknife once said, application for residency is like a
package. Everything counts.

take any opportunity, even 0.001% chance and put 99.99999% effort and you
might get your dream realized.
this is a good example.
actually even after 7/1 starting season, there is still such opportunity.
I even saw person enter residency in December.

How did your brother get to know the open position? Did he know somebody
inside or that is posted on the web? Which website?
