dizziness and poor balance might not be from cervical spine stenosis,
if it's VBI then physical therapy would not help

VBI stands for vertebrobasillar insufficiency,
though cervical spondylotic myelopathy could give you unsteady gait, but i'm
not so certain that it makes patients feeling dizzy and lightheaded,
you mentioned your father has dizziness and poor balance, sounds to me like
vertigo, which is a hallmark symptom for vertebrobasillar insufficiency,
VBI is often caused by atherosclerosis of the posterior circulation vessels
but can be caused by cervical spondylosis but rare,

simply put, our cerebellum is part of the brain that controls our balance,
which is supplied by posterior circulation, which is composed of left and
right vertebral arteries that lead to basillar artery,
so in a general sense, for whatever reason that causes diminished blood flow

颈椎觉得胀和跳疼,而且头也不能向后仰,平时好时这些症状都没有.现在只能犯时吃
Advil暂时缓解,但不治标.老爸比较排斥牵引等物理治疗,所以我才问有没有什么药可以

why he cannot extend his neck? dose that make his dizziness worse?
dose he ever pass out from any of this? any headaches, vision changes?
nausea and vomiting? any hearing loss? anything that trigger his symptoms?
头晕 is fairly a nonspecific term, try to differentiate between dizziness
and vertigo then,

,恶心,但不吐,马上就要躺下休息,也没有什么诱因.吃Advil缓解后就没事了.我怀疑是
颈椎增生压迫神经所致,他常年喜欢在床上靠床头看书看报,没有锻炼运动.你象是医生

好像有一些,模模糊糊的.不过他早就是老花眼了.
how often dose this occur?
不定期,好时两三个月都不犯
how long dose each episode last?
如果不吃Advil,就恢复不过来了.吃了这个药,也不是立刻就没事了,是症状慢慢的缓解
了.
