1211 | 2 Honestly, I have never seen skin test for penicillin allergy in the hospital
in US. In fact, I have never seen penicillin used in the hospital either.
There are only very few infection that penicillin is the first line
treatment. | y*****g 发帖数: 193 | 3 No skin test for pencillin allergy is required in the hospital in US. I was
given PCN prophylatically while I was hospitalized in US resulting in
anaphylactic shock. Preventative measurements includes asking your
medication allergy prior to order/adminstration. Or first dose of
antibiotics IV should be given slowly and monitored closely. PCN and its
derivatives have been given to patients during hospitalization. In case if
you have reactions, it could be treated in a safe environment. |
