Yu Liu is currently an associate professor for the Department of Politics at
Tsinghua University. She has taught courses dealing with Chinese politics,
comparative politics, and many classes on modern politics. Liu is an active
"public intellectual" in China, authoring political columns and commentaries
for several well-known newspapers and magazines. Her book entitled Details
of Democracy was selected as Book of the Year by a number of influential
media, newspapers and websites.
Liu received her BA and MA in the Department of International Politics at
the Renmin University of China, and her Ph.D. in the Department of Political
Science at Columbia University. |
