We could not find an organizer of the "Chinese Americans for Trump" campaign
to talk for this story.If you can put us in touch with one, we would
greatly appreciate it.
We have changed the headline of the story to reflect your feedback.It now
reads “Trump has fans among Chinese in U.S. and abroad. http://kuow.org/post/trump-has-fans-among-chinese-us-and-abroad
Except for the headline, which again, we have changed, we stand by the
accuracy of the story we wrote.But we acknowledge that we did not include a
key voice:that of Chinese Americans who support Trump.
To address that, we will post a second story tomorrow/Weds that about the
response we have gotten, including an interview with a Chinese American who
supports Trump.
Your feedback has helped us understand that there are a wide variety
opinions on the Presidential candidates- and that Chinese Americans have
very different views than Chinese nationals, including students.Going
forward, we are committed to doing a better job reporting differences and
nuances of opinion.
