appearance. They certainly don't have mechanical superiority over Japanese
brands. I had more issues with my new Harley than all my vintage and new Jap
bikes combined. And to manufacture them in Europe is just as silly of an
idea since European bikes are only slightly better than HD is. If they are
going to manufacture overseas at least make them in a country known for
building reliable bikes like Japan. HD has been close to collapse before and
for those who remember the old days when they were sold to AMF and made in
Italy know it took a long time to recover their name and now they have
somehow managed to forget their own history. Big mistake HD. The only reason
people buy the brand is because of the made in USA moniker. People who buy
in foreign countries are buying the nostalgia, the made in the USA
superiority (real or not) and for the appearance. |
