1) must be center of attention at all times
2) His stupid notion of parody trade is to try to get China to buy more US
products. This is oil and Ag since the us makes nothing else. China can
easily do that. So it will look like the balance of trade is narrowing.
Parody trade is what makes Economist consider him a laughingstock.
3) Trump will continue with Tariffs stupidly to claim they are monitoring.
So the supply chain and poor earnings for US companies will continue.
4) Ip is a lot like global warming. The last official case filed with WTO
was 2007 over a European headlight switch. NOT military secrets.. The
Chinese firm paid a royalty end of story. LIp service only.
5) Trump needs a deal with Asia very badly. Every multinational US firm is
screaming that Trump has destroyed the Supply chain and the US farmer. This
is planting season in the US so Trump is against the wall. That is why he is
pushing forward to settle in Feb. Any later and he harms farmers again.
Though he also did this by rejecting TPA.
What this doesn't do...
1) US still has trade deficit with all 102 nations with which it trades. So
Trump is pissing in the wind if he thinks parody Trade is anything but a
laughable idiocy.
2) with Tariffs, other Asian nations will see their export soar. China has
plants in virtually all Asian countries and will oversee the production and
exports. China would like to use the Asian Cubs for cheap manufacturing as
they advance technology and the China supply chain to Asia.
3) if Trump's goal was to stop or slow down China, that has not happened.
The opposite has happened. China is now flexing industrial muscle as well as
military muscle with new never seen technology. Rockets from subs and the
new Naval gun as well as hypersonics and 5G. In fact China always gains
ground on the US during recessions where Chinese products are cheaper and
more competitive as the US and Europe reduce capacity.
Trump will claim this is the greatest trade deal in history AGAIN. But it
will just be another Trump Burgdahl styled deal which would have been better
if he had never meddled in the first place. But Trump is stupid and wants
to micromanage without a brain.
What will Trump lose? The US industrial base. All of Asia is on fire with
growth. They need infrastructure. Only China makes enough structural steel
to meet the day. They also have oil seed companies and farm equipment. China
is the world's largest producer and exporter of food. They do not grow corn
for ethanol. They grow food and industrial crops.
Expect to see Asian growth skyrocket. But be aware that China is behind it
and the US is still out being the sanctioner of 40% of the world population
and military troublemaker. Trump still has tariffs on US Allies and US
product remain under massive retaliatory tariffs from around the globe.

growing fast. Further the biggest news was that the Chinese Consumer has now
surpassed the spending of the US Consumers, the back bone of the US economy
. The US will never catch China now. That is yet another metric of scale
which the US can never beat. China is the largest consumer nation in the
world.
All along China has been feigning a slowdown. This was intentional They have
been tightening credit for three years. But now they are stimulating. They
destroyed the risky shadow banking and they were trying to cool down the
housing market speculators. They have achieved these goals.
The US has been tightening. Treasury auction action has been poor to say the
least and today jobless claims were higher than expected.
Trump is a blowhard. Sun Tzu also said..."Pretend inferiority and encourage
his arrogance."
China wants to appear to grovel to his Majesty. LOL. Sun Tzu also said... "
Build your enemy a Golden Bridge upon which they may retreat."
My favorite however is..."Wait long enough by the river and you will see the
bodies of your enemies float by." China is patient.
