split-dramatically-during-stress-test | b*********3 发帖数: 1709 | 2 The problem is the entire American corporate culture;
quick hiring the cheapest (read: least qualified) people,
quick (read: minimal) training to save more costs,
make a quick Buck by hyping the 'product,' and,
quick firing when the blow-back comes after cutting too many corners and
profitability tumbles.
No long term vision whatsoever... | b*********3 发帖数: 1709 | 3 It takes a special kind of stupid to take one of the most trusted, popular
designs of aircraft (or any product) and make it pariah overnight. That
stupid is called "management". | b*********3 发帖数: 1709 | 4 The entire aviation sector is rotten to the core.
Forget all this "safety is our number one priority" ********, the only thing
airlines care about is squeezing the most out of their "number one assets,'
i.e. the human beings.
Low cost airlines have pushed the envelops so far that sooner or later
something will give and it will be an ugly combination of; pilot fatigue,
some mechanical/technical issue, with a weather/low fuel scenario.
I suppose it's not much different for the aircraft manufacturers: squeezing
the most out of the lemon/orange in order to "maximise shareholder value,"
and leaving the mess for the next generation(s) of managers to clean up.
That's the Anglo-American way: no long term vision but instead only focused
on the quick Buck/Pound. |
