alternator after 1 hr's inspection.
Around 1997-98, after he had opened his shop, my friend's car died on the

pump, and drive belts. I got a $75 coupon.
I wouldn't go to those little car shops, they were usually dishonest and
would not stand by their work. Dobss auto, auto tires, and some of the
reuptable car dealships are places to go.

fee.

余下就是手工的费用。修车如果有发票，有些州一年以内同一个毛病修车铺必须免费修
。missouri不知道有没有类似的规定。
大概给大家参考一下个人的经验。
上面的报价看宫师傅也没有很过分啊。$644是比$480要贵。我也有honda，但是我就不
知道哪里去找$75的coupon。所以不能靠打听一个中国人左拼右凑给找出来的deal来砍
其他修车行的价格。
可能有些人不需要每天用车。需要每天用车的，客观讲宫师傅基本能做到上午送去，下
午修好。
我在宫师傅那里修过几次车。都是汽车本身到年龄或者自我保养不佳造成的。宫师傅最
大的优势不是在于你找他换个零件什么的。那样就是差个手工费。
宫师傅最大的优势是当汽车不知道除了什么稀奇古怪的问题，他能快速找出原因然后修
理。
我在宫师傅处修了以下问题：

说要$500修理才让通过。
拿过单子一看，safety related的基本没有。都是画蛇添足的修理。当时我问那个
manager，说这些是safety related的问题么？回答说只有修好才给pass。
后来我当场从internet找出missouri的规定，结果那manager马上狡辩。说是他想说的
是：如果这些不修好，以后会成为safety的concern。
我想有一个道理通用的。有人说吃饭的时候，如果一家店铺生意兴旺，那么饭菜一定很
好。宫师傅每天你们可以去看，至少我的车坏了，每次都是排队的修。
我想他能在st louis这个华人数量很少的城市扎根10多年，那一定是有他生存的道理。
我不是来美国就到st louis的。也是单位里面的中国前辈推荐的。我想他们比我要经历
的多。汽车从suv到luxury的都有。人家推荐总不会是没有一些道理的。
当然了，一般如果是比较新，比较好的车，比如lexus, acura, BMW，那都是送dealer
保养的。还真没看见送宫师傅那里的。 |

If I remember correctly, drive belts has three different belts -- I dont'
recall the names. Get them all replaced at the same time, it is cheaper that
way. When they replace those, they will also replace your coolant -- which
is excellent since my coolant needed replacement too. After the job, my car

十分的感激。
其实只要是好的deal，跟dealer有没有关系都无所谓。我们关心的是coupon，不是
coupon怎么来的哈。
catenina同学说的不错。汽车看年代和产地。有些用的drive belt是一根，比如美国车
。有些类似我的honda，比较老，是3根。其实就是通过发动机的轴带动发电机，水泵，
和空调。
余下换水泵自然会放掉一些coolent。但是和coolent flush还是不一样。据说是engine
jacket什么地方有些东西是放不干净的。honda应该要用专门的honda geniue coolant
。不然就会加速腐蚀，最后导致radiator堵死。比如我的车就是因为radiator堵死了，
结果循环水的压力很大，最后把别的地方一个很贵的valve搞坏了。这些道理，宫师傅
的确是能讲的清楚。后来我上网google，发现也的确是和网上说的一样。所以我个人感
觉宫师傅其实还行。
所以其实大家说的都不矛盾。如果想要好好的保养一辆车，那就应该送dealer。如果有
