Ping Gui, 48, of Columbia passed away on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, in
Columbia.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Parker Funeral
Service, 22 N. Tenth St. The memorial service will be 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct.
1, at Woodcrest Chapel, 2201 Nifong Blvd.

Ping was born Oct. 21, 1966, in Chongqing, China, to her father, Zhenxiong
Gui, and mother, Jibin Li.
She was an intelligent woman with an inquisitive personality. She earned a
bachelor’s degree from Sichuan Normal University in Chengdu, China. She
also earned two masters’ degrees, the first from East China Normal
University in Shanghai, China, and the second from the University of
Illinois in Chicago.
In her work, she was industrious and held many jobs including teaching and
accounting. She was a senior financial analyst, corporate manager,
accountant and CPA. Ping also was a kind and generous woman with a beautiful
heart, a warm friend, a loving mother and a good wife.
Survivors include her husband, Shaokai Jiang; son, Brian Jiang; brother,
Ming Gui; and sister, Bin Gui. She preceded her son Jeffrey Jiang into death
by only a few days. |
