Steve Jobs, the mastermind behind Apple's iPhone, iPad, iPod, iMac and
iTunes, has died, Apple said. Jobs was 56.
"We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today," read
a statement by Apple's board of directors. "Steve's brilliance, passion and
energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all
of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve. His
greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out
to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts."
The homepage of Apple's website this evening switched to a full-page image
of Jobs with the text, "Steve Jobs 1955-2011."
Clicking on the image revealed the additional text: "Apple has lost a
visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being
. those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve
have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a
company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the
foundation of Apple."
Jobs co-founded Apple Computer in 1976 and, with his childhood friend Steve
Wozniak, marketed what was considered the world's first personal computer,
the Apple II.
Industry watchers called him a master innovator -- perhaps on a par with
Thomas Edison -- changing the worlds of computing, recorded music and
communications.
In 2004, he beat back an unusual form of pancreatic cancer, and in 2009 he
was forced to get a liver transplant. After several years of failing health,
Jobs announced on Aug. 24, 2011 that he was stepping down as Apple's chief
executive.
"I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my
duties and expectations as Apple's CEO, I would be the first to let you know
," Jobs wrote in his letter of resignation. "Unfortunately, that day has

标 题: 比较一下盖茨和乔布斯，深深体会到同人不同命的道理。

盖子童鞋出生美国中上阶层，老爹是律师，老妈曾经还被谣传是ibm的董事，虽然可能
不是真的，但至少他老妈看起来还是有一定的network的人。
乔布斯这个可怜滴娃是个私生子，养父母也没什么钱，而且乔布斯看起来是个很
considerate的人，怜惜养父母没钱，所以大学自愿辍学了。
俩人都没上完大学，自学成才，开辟各自的事业王国。
只可惜人还是斗不过命，可怜的乔布斯的噩运似乎如影随形，得了癌症，还是最难治的
那种。如今日薄西山，无力回天，颇有当年诸葛亮的殚精竭虑鞠躬尽瘁死而后已的架势。
反观盖子同志还是身体健康，卸甲归田，满世界撒钱为乐，看他那健硕滴模样，活个百
八十岁是不成问题的。
两个天才，命运却大不相同，不能不让人感慨。据说乔布斯曾说过，他成功的动力就是
想让妈妈后悔曾经抛弃自己。作为一名泪腺发达情感丰富的女性，看到这样的话，楼主
我不哭是不可能的。

我现在有点纠结，目前跟AT&T，合同已经到期，想去verizon 签个两年，
顺便再拿个 Iphone4s， 可是V 和ATT 的sim card 不通用的
就是说原来的的iphone 都不能用了？
