为啥不买在Scarsdale, eastchester, or bronxville ?
担心孩子受排挤我觉得应该focus到父母应该教孩子如何适应，无论在哪里都很优秀才
对。
俺以前的junior住在那里，天天去火车站commute到NYU medical school上班。

But we don't understand why there are so few chinese families here.
The principle in elementary school can not tell us even one chinese student
in her school:( |

We used to live in that surrounding area.
One of my Chinese friend's daughter goes to public elementary school at
Pelham.
Quite a few chinese students in her class.
My friend commutes to NYU school of medicine to go to work every day.
Another chinese friend's daughter goes to that public elementary school at
pelham too.
Both of my friends and I used to work together in that area.

elementary schools in Pelham. Are they still in that school? How do they
think about the school?

发帖数: 4871 | 6 it is the one on or very close to E. Lincoln ave. very close to Mount Vernon
and Hutchinson river pkwy.I do not remember its name but I can ask my
friend.
As far as I know, their kids are fine at that elementary school.They prefer
to live in pelham because that public elementary school is good. But please
do remember bronxville or scarsdale has best public highschool in
westchester county.
But please also remember there is a very good highschool in Bronx which is
only a few miles away from pelham.
Sarah Lawrence college is in Yonkers/Bronxville. It is listed as the most
expensive college in the U.S.:-) I do not know if you watched this movie "10
things I hate about you", the girl chose to go to Sarah Lawrence for
college in that movie:-)
If I go back to work at NYC, I will live at Scarsdale and commute to
manhattan:-)
They do have asian kids in that elementary school in pelham.
There is a club on this mitbbs.com, the name of that club is "westchester".
But I feel most people from that club are not from southern part of
westchester county.

发帖数: 92 | 7 我们买房子的时候看过这里， 学区不错但是很小，比起其他好学区，房子有些很便宜
的，但是地税很高，而且在几个高速中间的三角地，想找个安静的不受高速影响的房子
不容易。

located at north pelham.
是的，这地方地税是挺高，但是交通比scarsdale 方便，可以走路去火车站。
你说的在于Bronx 的好高中是公立还是私立的？
公立的必需在纽约市住才能申请吧 |

发帖数: 4871 | 9 I really dont know the names of the these schools besides their location.
I heard my friends were talking about them but I had never pay any attention
to it:-) One of my friend even moved from manhattan to bronx in order to
let his daughter to go to high school in bronx.
I also think the southern part of westchester county will have more black
and latino population in the nearly future. You prob need to think about
this situation when u are buying a house now.
I personally like scarsdale, eastchester, or even sleepy hollow which is at
far northern part of westchester county.
My baby is not old enough to make me worry about school disctrict yet:-)
I think property tax is 3% there and the house that is within ok range in
scarsdale is usually above 1 million.
If I choose to work in Manhattan or Queens, I will prefer to live in
scarsdale and send kids to the best private school in that area:-)
