The question is regrading looking for jobs...
I will graduate next month from a Accelerated BSN program (a 12-month
program at a very prestigious U). My background is Master degree in Biology
and 6 years of Biomedical research experience with several publications. GPA
in the BSN program is 4.0. Have green card. Plan to take Nclex in Oct.
I have bid with couple RN position at a top hospital in my city. However,

发帖数: 367 | 3 关于指导老师的推荐信，我听说过，但我个人没有这样做，因为我当时用的是网上申请
，只填写了推荐老师的名字、job title及联系电话。医院一方都是直接与推荐教师通
话、询问相关问题。但是，在填写表格前，我的确把教过我的指导老师在心里过了一遍
，尤其把注意力放在那些对我非常欣赏又非常nice的教师，然后再从中找出既教过理论
课又教过临床实习的教师。因为医院要求至少要两个推荐人，当时正放假，我直接跑到
学校去找人，其中一个给我找到了。跟她讲了后，她非常乐意为我推荐，并说了一些非
常欣赏我的话。另外一个没找到，我于是写了一个电子邮件，首先邀请她作为我的推荐
人，原因是她对我比较了解。接着，为了让她对我有一个更深入的了解，我把自己的情
况全面但又有所侧重地进行了事实求是的介绍，其中举了一些医院里的护士及病人对我
的评价的例子。写好后，我放了两天，并征求了LD的意见，才最终发了过去。又过了两
天，我收到了她的回信，她表示愿意为我提供positive reference。
因为各地各人的情况都很不相同，以上的经验供参考。希望有帮助。 |

香气, 生物硕士会让病人康复的快? 这是你找不到护士工作的原因,以你的背景,应该找
护士长,或者unit manager?

for me in order to make me be a better candidate for a RN? I was confused by

20岁就开始干护士的XX卫校毕业,干了10年的护士是无法比的.话随不好听,在理.建议不
要提什么硕士毕业,发表文章数篇. 你的前头有个比你还牛,每次面试就提自己是医生,
无一次面试成功.

州，如果你愿
意RELOCATE,可以试试南加州。也可以去DIALYSIS CLINIC去试试。你有绿卡，应该有机
会的。

apply a RN position but you are not RN right now.
and forget your research experiennces and publications, you wont switch
to nurse if they are useful.

发帖数: 1506 | 10 现在没有执照可能找起工作来有些困难，但是不要泄气，才刚刚开始。你的研究经历恐
怕对你找护士工作不会有很大帮助，除非你做研究护士，其实你以后可以考虑这个方向
，研究护士还是比较不错的。刚开始做，我觉得还是去医院，不要去老人院，老人院的
工作既繁重，又学不到什么东西。但是不要把期望值订得太高，不一定要去最好的医院
最好的科室，也许你足够幸运，但是在如今这个经济状况下，比较难。先在一个医院工
作一段时间，积累一些经验，再慢慢往上走。 |

think your GRE is good based on the information you give. So why not try

encouragement from you guys do mean a lot to me. They provide me with more
strength and reasons not to give up!
I guess I am gonna work on Nclex for now. More suggestions are welcome.

发帖数: 169 | 14 其实楼主条件不错的，好好promotion，找到工作应该没问题的。我这里就是提点建议
，希望能给你点启发。看了顶楼的感觉，觉得有点理不清你的求职思路，你究竟想找什
么工作呢？找工作的时候，自己的背景强也不是泛泛的夸奖，要经过包装，你要想想对
方想要的是什么样的人，怎么把自己的背景放到人家的框架里面去。
应届生，不是找research nurse的话，过度强调研究背景其实不见得加分。也许会让对
方有那种你做不长，很快会去读书或者有点临床经验就会走的感觉，如果让人家先有了
那种小庙容不下大和尚的印象，那就是减分了。当然让对方知道你smart是好事情，但
是分寸要拿捏好。我也自己原来是机械工程的硕士，也有些paper。当时找现在的工作
的时候，面试被问到会不会很快去读书，为什么会转护士之类的问题，能感觉到人家担
心你做不久，所以你要好好拿捏分寸，事先想好怎么应对。
GPA对临床工作来讲，很多manager没那么在乎，说真的，临床做的好跟会读书是两码事
。相对的，我没有看到你提到你的相关临床经验，所以这方面你要好好想想怎么包装自
己了。暑假做的externship啦，最后一个学期在医院跟带教老 |
